Eliminating energy waste and supporting the reduction of fossil fuels everywhere

Energy ranks as the second-highest operational expense for most companies after labour costs. By reducing energy consumption, organisations slash operating costs, shrink their carbon footprints, enhance brand reputation, and strengthen regulatory compliance, all while gaining recognition through energy efficiency awards.

When properly sourced and retired, energy efficiency certificates enable transparent and audit-ready environmental claims as part of verifiable Scope 1 & 2 reporting.

What is energy efficiency exactly ?

Energy efficiency is about accomplishing the same outcome while consuming less power. It reflects how effectively a system transforms energy into results, getting the job done with minimal waste. At its core, it's the intelligent use of energy to cut consumption without sacrificing performance.

What are energy efficiency certificates (EECs) ?

Energy Efficiency Certificates often called white certificates are tradable instruments that represent verified energy savings. Each certificate documents a measured reduction in energy consumption, typically quantified in megawatt-hours (MWh) cumac or similar units.

These certificates serve as official proof of a building's energy performance, determining both how much energy it consumes and the level of CO₂ emissions it releases into the atmosphere. They transform abstract efficiency gains into tangible, documented assets.

Organisations can obtain EECs in two ways: by implementing efficiency projects and having the verified savings certified, or by purchasing them directly as tradable instruments on established markets. This dual pathway makes efficiency accessible whether a company undertakes its own improvements or leverages savings generated elsewhere.

Why they matter ?

1. Reduce Operational Costs
Lower energy consumption translates directly into reduced electricity and fuel expenses. Certified efficiency measures not only improve margins but can also generate additional financial value through documented savings mechanisms.

2. Ensure Regulatory Compliance
As European energy efficiency obligations expand, companies must demonstrate measurable progress. Energy Efficiency Certificates (EECs) provide audit-ready proof of verified savings, supporting compliance while reducing regulatory risk.

3. Finance the Energy Transition
Certified savings can be monetised or used within obligation schemes, helping fund energy-saving projects. This creates a self-sustaining cycle where efficiency improvements support further decarbonisation efforts.

4. Strengthen ESG & Competitive Positioning
With growing investor and stakeholder scrutiny, verifiable performance matters. EECs transform energy reductions into transparent, quantifiable results reinforcing sustainability reporting and differentiating companies in competitive markets.

Types of EECs :

We are active in France and Spain, where two major energy efficiency certificate schemes operate.

France: Certificats d'Économies d'Énergie (CEE)

The French CEE scheme requires energy suppliers, electricity, gas, heating oil, and fuel providers, to finance efficiency improvements for households and businesses. Suppliers earn certificates through verified savings, creating a market where companies can generate or acquire CEEs to meet regulatory obligations.

Spain: Certificados de Ahorro Energético (CAE)

Spain's CAE system represents verified energy savings as tradable instruments. The scheme enables companies to monetise efficiency projects by generating certificates or purchase them to comply with energy reduction targets.

Our Approach :

We operate across both primary and secondary markets for energy efficiency certificates.

Primary market: We work as originators, developing and certifying energy efficiency projects to generate certificates directly from verified savings.

Secondary market: We trade existing white certificates, connecting buyers and sellers to ensure liquidity and market access for all participants.
